UNPRI PSDKU Pekanbaru Campus Successfully Holds Public Lecture: Higher Education Readiness Produces Superior Human Resources

Pekanbaru, Prima Indonesia University (UNPRI) PSDKU Pekanbaru Campus held a public lecture with the title "The Role and Readiness of Higher Education in Producing Superior Human Resources", Saturday (16/11/2024).

This event presented the main resource person, Head of LLDIKTI Region XVII Riau and Riau Islands, Dr. H. Nopriadi, SKM., M.Kes, who provided an in-depth explanation of the challenges, strategies and concrete steps that universities must take to prepare competitive human resources in the global era.

In his presentation, Dr. H. Nopriadi highlighted the importance of adapting technology and strengthening student character. It also explains that universities must integrate innovative approaches in their curriculum, adopt the latest digital technology, and build relevant soft skills, so that graduates are able to face the challenges of an increasingly dynamic world of work. "Universities not only act as educational institutions, but also as agents of change that shape the character and adaptive readiness of graduates. "It is also no less important that collaboration between institutions is needed to improve the quality of education and student skills," emphasized Dr. Nopriadi.

In his remarks, the Director of Prima Indonesia University PSDKU Pekanbaru Campus, Dr. Salim Aktar, M.Pd, said he was proud to be able to present speakers who are experts in their fields to share this important insight. "This public lecture is in line with our commitment to supporting the adaptive and proactive transformation of higher education, in order to produce quality graduates who are able to compete globally," he concluded.

This public lecture was attended by hundreds of participants, including students from the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Information Systems, Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Management and Master of Public Health study programs and invited guests. Participants gain an understanding of the strategic role of universities in integrating innovation and character strengthening into the education curriculum.

This activity also carried out the official launch of the 1st KONASPIM (National Conference on Information Systems, Psychology, Management), which carried the theme "Superior Human Resources Through Digital Transformation and Character Strengthening".

The 1st KONASPIM is scheduled to take place on April 14-15 2025, and invites academics, researchers and practitioners to participate in a call for papers which aims to discuss strategic and innovative issues in human resource development.

The launch of the 1st KONASPIM is expected to be a forum for developing new ideas in managing higher education and strengthening human resources, which are relevant to the needs of today's world of work.

This activity emphasizes the role of Universitas Prima Indonesia PSDKU Pekanbaru Campus, as a higher education institution that is committed to producing graduates who are ready to compete and contribute positively to national development.
