Opening of UNPRI Open Day 2025

Medan, Head of the North Sumatra (Sumut) Provincial Education Office, Ir. Abdul Haris Lubis MSi, represented by the Head of Administration of the North Sumatra Region I Cabdis, Erma Bahagia Pakpahan SE.MM, said that the OPEN DAY held by Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) is a golden opportunity for high school/vocational school students to obtain direct information about the various study programs offered, available facilities, opportunities that can be utilized from UNPRI to improve their competence in facing global challenges.

This was conveyed by Erma Bahagia Pakpahan SE, MM when officially opening the 2025 UNPRI OPEN DAY, which was held at the UNPRI Main Campus, Jln. Sampul No.3 Medan, Monday (3/2/2025), together with UNPRI Chancellor Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes.

"It's time to awaken the best potential in you. UNPRI is one of the universities that is a bridge that will help your ideals and dreams. Through UNPRI you will have the opportunity to explore knowledge deeper, broaden your horizons, and develop skills that are very much needed in the world of work," Erma Bahagia Pakpahan emphasized again.

He added that the North Sumatra Education Office expressed its highest appreciation to UNPRI, which has provided a forum for students to develop their interests and talents in the fields of science, or other sciences. Moreover, this type of activity is extraordinary and is currently in demand by students. "Hopefully this OPEN DAY will provide important information to students, and bring benefits to all of us," he concluded.

Previously, the Chancellor of UNPRI, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting MKes expressed his pride in being able to welcome invited guests and high school students to the UNPRI campus. According to him, the purpose of the OPEN DAY activity is to introduce all existing study programs, so that high school students can get to know and explore aspects of campus life.

"UNPRI's vision is to create graduates with socio-technopreneurship insight. In this activity, we provide information related to study programs, existing facilities, while presenting a food bazaar activity attended by UNPRI student tenants and schools in Medan City and our other partners. In addition to being able to enjoy delicious culinary delights, this activity is also a forum for UNPRI students to develop their entrepreneurial spirit," he said.

OPEN DAY UNPRI 2025 is also packed with various competitions, in the form of Science Olympiad, English Olympiad, Basketball, Badminton, Esports involving students and high school/vocational high school students in Medan City, interspersed with various entertainment, such as Solo performances by UNPRI Faculty of Economics students, namely Putri, winner of UNPRI PORSENI 2024, then UNPRI Modern Dance performances.

"The various activities that we package aim to hone the skills, creativity and competitive spirit of fellow students and also high school students in Medan City. We also express our gratitude to the Senior High Schools/Vocational High Schools that will sign the MoU with the UNPRI Campus today," he explained.

Frymacy Kuliner, one of the tenants of Pharmacy Study Program students Semester 5 FKKGIK UNPRI who attended OPEN DAY 2025, offers food/snacks dominated by fried foods. They made the name Frymacy because they are students of the Pharmacy Study Program.

Although it only appeared in early 2025, the turnover of students consisting of 6 people is very popular. "Today's sales, praise God crowded, stock is almost out, the enthusiasm of the visitors is very high," said one of the Frymacy members.

The 2025 UNPRI OPEN DAY event was also attended by the Founder of Universitas Prima Indonesia Prof. Dr. dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M.Kes., AIFM., Sp.KKLP, Chairman of the Daily Supervisory Board Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn, Director of the Royal Prima Medan Hospital, vice chancellors and hundreds of UNPRI students and high school students in Medan City.
