Royal Klinik Cemara, a Tangible Proof of UNPRI’s Commitment to Improving Public Access and Quality of Healthcare Services
UNPRI, Medan – The leading and excellent university, Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), has once again taken a strategic step in the health sector by inaugurating Royal Klinik Cemara, located in one of the most strategic areas of Deli Serdang Regency, at Jalan Boulevard Southern Lake Residence R3 1–5, Cemara Asri Complex, Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The inauguration ceremony was officiated directly by the Regent of Deli Serdang,dr. H. Asri Ludin Tambunan, M.Ked (PD), Sp.PD-KGEH, FINASIM, on Thursday (October 16, 2025), marked by a ribbon-cutting and plaque signing.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as the Founder of Prima Group, Prof. Dr. dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M.Kes, AIFM, Sp.K.K.L.P., Independent Commissioner of PT Royal Prima Tbk, Dr. dr. Suhartina Darmadi, MKM., President Director of PT Royal Prima Tbk, Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H, M.Kn., Chairman of the Medical Committee of RSU Royal Prima, Prof. Dr. dr. Farhat, M.Ked (ORL-HNS), Sp.THT-KL(K)., Director of PT Pilar Medika Nusantara, Dr. dr. Wienaldi, MKM, MQM, Sp.KKLP., and Rector of UNPRI, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes, AIFO-K., represented by UNPRI Vice Rector IV, Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, MKT, MRM, Sp.K.K.L.P(K). Also present were the Dean of FKKGIK, Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K., religious leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amiruddin, MS., Manager of Royal Klinik drg. Siunelly Ong., UNPRI Advisor Dr. RE Nainggolan ., community leader Dzulmi Eldin ., as well as representatives from BPJS Kesehatan Deli Serdang and the Supervisory Board of RSU Royal Prima .
The establishment of Royal Klinik Cemara extends the list of healthcare facilities under PT Prima Group and reinforces UNPRI’s position as the university with the largest number of teaching hospitals in Indonesia. Previously, several hospitals have been established and are serving the community, including RSU Royal Prima Medan , RSU Royal Prima Marelan , RSU Royal Prima Jambi , RS Mata Prima Vision , RS Gigi dan Mulut Prima , and RS UNPRI Tebing Tinggi , with another facility soon to open in Pekanbaru, Riau Province . In his remarks, Regent Asri Tambunan , who is also a physician, warmly welcomed the presence of Royal Klinik Cemara in his region. He stated that this initiative represents a real contribution to providing accessible primary healthcare services, preventing and treating diseases, and improving public health levels. He also expressed hope for future collaborations between UNPRI and the Deli Serdang Regency Government in the field of public health.
The presence of Royal Klinik Cemara in Deli Serdang Regency is a tangible manifestation of the commitment of Prima Group and UNPRI to expanding healthcare services while strengthening educational facilities in the fields of medicine and health sciences. This clinic represents a strategic step to broaden access to medical services for the community while serving as a real-world practical laboratory for students of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences (FKKGIK) UNPRI , which currently oversees 20 study programs, including Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Public Health.
With its modern design, complete and integrated facilities, Royal Klinik Cemara is expected to become an ethical clinical learning center focused on the needs of the people in the Cemara Asri area and its surroundings. It will also serve as a training ground for resident doctors from the Specialist Medical Education Program – Family Medicine Primary Care (PPDS-KKLP) , one of seven specialist programs currently offered by UNPRI. The other six specialist programs include Radiology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology (Obgyn), Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, and Internal Medicine. According to Prof. Gusbakti , the establishment of Royal Klinik Cemara not only strengthens UNPRI’s positive reputation as a leading health university and health development center in western Indonesia, particularly in North Sumatra, but also expands the university’s social impact in line with the “Impactful Campus” initiative launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
In addition to serving as a practical training site for students, the establishment of Royal Klinik Cemara also creates job opportunities for medical personnel, service staff, and doctors—most of whom are UNPRI graduates from the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery (FKK) . Royal Klinik Cemara offers state-of-the-art digital facilities, comprehensive medical services for all age groups—from children to the elderly—and is supported by professional and reliable healthcare providers.
