SPECTACULAR! UNPRI Delivers an Unforgettable Experience for Over 5,000 New Students at PKKMB 2026
Presents a Lively, Inspiring, and Collaborative PKKMB Series with Strategic Partners
MEDAN — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) once again brings a fresh perspective to welcoming new students through the Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PKKMB) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Far beyond a mere ceremony, UNPRI PKKMB is curated into a lively, inspiring, and high-energy campus experience, engaging more than 5,000 freshmen.
The pinnacle of the PKKMB series took place on September 26, 2026, following a series of faculty-level activities held since early September. The atmosphere buzzed across various campus spots, from the Main Hall and Mini Hall to the Lobby of Universitas Prima Indonesia. Embodying the spirit of an international and multi-ethnic campus, UNPRI PKKMB serves as a momentum to introduce academic life, career opportunities, personal development, and creative spaces available to students.
The opening ceremony featured a traditional Guard of Honor (*Pedang Pora*) performed by agriculture students of UNPRI. This procession set a special tone, symbolizing the official welcome of freshmen into the UNPRI big family. This was followed by a video address from the Rector of Universitas Prima Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes., who stated, "Welcome to UNPRI. A place to learn, grow, create, and break boundaries." The official opening was then led by Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Information Systems, Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., who emphasized, "Let us utilize all campus facilities and ecosystem to carve out your best achievements."
UNPRI PKKMB 2026/2027 offered much more than entertainment. Freshmen gained strategic insights regarding their academic journey and career future, including the introduction of the Migrant Center, designed to facilitate wider career development access, including international professional pathways. Students were also introduced to Altissia, a language learning platform providing access to 26 languages to strengthen global communication skills.
Equally important, UNPRI introduced the Ethics Committee as part of its commitment to fostering a safe, comfortable, and respectful educational environment, including anti-harassment initiatives. The message is clear: university life is not just about earning a degree, but building competencies, character, networks, and futures.
The atmosphere peaked when Medan’s pride bands, The Fame and Sandwich, took the stage. Their performances electrified the venue with music, cheers, and positive energy. Before the closing, students enjoyed a showcase by the Grand Finalists of Mr. & Mrs. UNPRI 2026, who are preparing for the upcoming UNPRI FIESTA 2026 in October.
The entertainment climax concluded with a performance by DJ Kirabei, a Visual Communication Design (DKV) student at UNPRI, conveying that academic excellence and creativity can seamlessly thrive together.
PKKMB Also Serves as a Collaboration Space with Partners. Exclusive bazaars featured booths from Prima Group and professional partners, including Pegadaian, Grab, Coca-Cola, JNE, Bank Mandiri, BRI, Wardah, Make Over, RS Royal Marelan, RS Prima Medan, RS Gigi dan Mulut Prima, RS Prima Vision, Prima Fitness Club, and D'Prima Apartments, enriching the students' industry exposure.
More than just welcoming new students, PKKMB 2026/2027 represents UNPRI’s commitment to an academic, inclusive, international, and dynamic educational experience as a multi-ethnic campus.
