UNPRI Holds General Lecture on Plantation Commodity Downstreaming with PTPN Holding Leadership, Engaging 1,000 Students on the Role of Youth Toward Golden Indonesia 2045
Campus-SOE Collaboration Prepares Students For Golden Indonesia 2045
Medan, October 31, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) hosted a General Lecture themed “The Strategic Role of the Younger Generation in Building a Dignified Civilization Through the Transformation and Downstreaming of Plantation Commodities Toward Golden Indonesia 2045” at the 10th Floor Main Hall of the UNPRI Main Campus on Saturday (Oct 31, 2026). Commencing at 08:00 AM, the event drew approximately 1,000 students as well as invited guests from PTPN III (Holding) and PTPN IV PalmCo.
The two keynote speakers for the general lecture were PTPN III (Holding) President Commissioner Dr. Ir. Ali Jamil Harahap, S.H., M.P., Ph.D. and PTPN III (Holding) President Director Denaldy Mulino Mauna, MBA. The session was moderated by FEB UNPRI Dean Dr. Fajar Rezeki Ananda Lubis, S.E., M.S.M. Also in attendance were PTPN IV PalmCo President Director Jatmiko Krisna Santosa, PTPN III (Holding) Director of Production and Development Rizal H. Damanik, PTPN IV PalmCo Region Heads Budi Susanto and Rurianto, PTPN IV PalmCo Labor Union General Chairman Muhammad Iskandar, S.E., M.S.M., and PT Industri Nabati Lestari (INL) Commissioner Dr. Ir. Yusriando, S.H., M.H. Representing UNPRI were Daily Executive Board (BPH) Chairman Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn., Vice Rector I Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., FITPM, FITAR, AITSP, MCF, MTCNA, MTCRE, Vice Rector III Dr. Refi Ikhtiari, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, M.K.T., M.K.M., Sp.KKLP(K)., Subsp.COPC., alongside university deans.
In his welcoming address, UNPRI BPH Chairman Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn., extended a warm welcome to the guest speakers, directors, and commissioners of PTPN Holding. “The plantation sector is a vital pillar of the national economy. On the journey toward Golden Indonesia 2045, UNPRI holds a strategic role in shaping future leaders, including for this sector, who possess not only intellectual brilliance but also strong character in building the nation's civilization,” he stated.
Furthermore, Prof. Tommy Leonard noted that UNPRI has established a memorandum of understanding with PTPN III (Holding). He conveyed that Prima Group — which has now expanded significantly across Pekanbaru, Jambi, and Jakarta — stands ready to fully support PTPN Holding through competent human resource development, modern educational technology implementation, and the comprehensive healthcare ecosystem possessed by Prima Group to sustainably strengthen worker welfare and the plantation industrial ecosystem. Following the lecture, the invited guests and university leadership inspected the academic and Prima Group community bazaar at the UNPRI Mini Hall.
