UNPRI Inaugurates 3 Professors
Ready to Impact as a Leading University
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) inaugurated three new professors in the Open Senate Session held on Saturday, March 9, 2024. The event took place at the Main Hall of the UNPRI Main Campus, Jalan Sampul 3, Medan City. The three professors were inaugurated directly by the Chancellor of UNPRI, Prof. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes. The inauguration of the Professors involved 3 UNPRI faculties, namely the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Medical Sciences (FKKGIK), the Faculty of Economics, and the Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST). The three professors who were inaugurated were Prof. Ir. (Field of Architecture) from FAST, Prof. Dr. Darwin Lie, SE., M.M. (Field of Management Science) from the Faculty of Economics, and Prof. dr. Surya Dharma, Sp.JP(K)., FIHA., Ph.D. (Field of Heart Disease) from FKKGIK. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Daily Executive Board (BPH), Dr. Tommy Leonard, M.Kn, Dr. dr. Wienaldi, M.K.M. President Director of RSU. Royal Prima, Vice Chancellors, All Deans, Heads of Study Programs, Heads of Bureaus and 100 invited guests.
The addition of three new UNPRI professors is an important milestone in efforts to improve the scientific standards and reputation of the university. As the main pillar in the academic structure, professors are not only a symbol of pride and academic recognition, but are also responsible for forming the foundation of the intellectual identity of a higher education institution. For UNPRI, this step confirms the commitment to prioritizing improving the quality of teaching staff as the main focus in academic development.
The presence of these professors is expected to provide a significant contribution to improving the quality of the learning and lecture process, as well as ensuring the competence of graduates. With the increase in the number of professors, UNPRI confirms its willingness to play an active role in community empowerment, both through education, research, and community service. This is reflected through a commitment to not only provide quality education, but also integrate relevant research and dedicate themselves to the interests of the wider community.
UNPRI continues to encourage lecturers to achieve the highest academic achievement through full support for lecturers to achieve functional positions as Senior Lecturer and Professor. It is hoped that professors will continue to develop knowledge and apply it in a context that is beneficial to the development of the institution and the welfare of society and the nation.
