Master Of Indonesia Language Education

This course equips students with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve current problems in Indonesian language and literature learning, as well as to design research-based and technology-enhanced learning innovations. The course encompasses three main focuses: (1) mapping and critically analyzing problems in Indonesian language and literature learning at various educational levels, covering aspects of curriculum, policy, teacher competence, learner characteristics, learning environments, and technology utilization; (2) examining various contemporary learning theories, models, approaches, and strategies as the foundation for innovation, including differentiated instruction, multiliteracies, project-based learning, online collaborative learning, and the use of artificial intelligence; and (3) designing, implementing, and evaluating contextual, adaptive, and sustainable learning innovations to address the identified problems.

• CPMK1 — Students are able to critically analyze various problems in Indonesian language learning related to learners, teachers, curriculum, learning materials, instructional strategies, assessment, technology, learning environments, and socio-cultural developments by applying relevant theoretical perspectives, empirical data, and educational frameworks.
• CPMK2 — Students are able to design and develop creative, adaptive, technology-enhanced, and problem-oriented innovations in Indonesian language learning by utilizing appropriate approaches, models, methods, media, learning materials, and assessment strategies in accordance with learners' needs and current educational developments.
• CPMK3 — Students are able to implement, evaluate, and reflect on innovations in Indonesian language learning and formulate recommendations for continuous improvement based on evaluation results and empirical evidence, and communicate the outcomes of such innovations through critical, systematic, and ethical scholarly work or learning products.

Learning evaluation is a systematic and continuous process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information about students' learning processes and outcomes to determine the extent to which learning objectives have been achieved and to provide a basis for decision-making aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning.

• CPMK1 — Students are able to explain the concepts, objectives, functions, principles, and types of learning evaluation systematically based on educational evaluation theories.
• CPMK2 — Students are able to analyze evaluation needs and develop valid and reliable assessment instruments aligned with learning objectives and characteristics.
• CPMK3 — Students are able to conduct learning evaluations, process and interpret assessment results, and formulate follow-up actions to improve the quality of learning processes and outcomes.

Theory of Language and Literature is an essential lecture which can provide knowledge, skills, and expertise for students to conduct analysis on literary works and linguistic phenomena. There are two primary points emphasized in this lecture: (1) the skill to apply relevant theories based on the needs to analyze literary works and linguistics phenomena (2) to give understanding to students about theoretical basic concepts in linguistics and literature for the purposes of analyzing and criticizing.

• CPMK1 — Students are able to effectively conceptualize language use and the nature of literary works for the development of education and learning in schools.
• CPMK2 — Students are able to apply the development of language and literary theories within research related to the field of Indonesian language and literature education.
• CPMK3 — Students are able to outline language and literature theories relevant to scientific research in the field of Indonesian language and literature education.

Studying the writing and publication of literature reviews

• CPMK1 — Students are able to explain the concepts, objectives, types, and stages of systematic literature review (SLR) within the context of academic research
• CPMK2 — Students are able to apply strategies for searching, selecting, and extracting data from scientific articles using digital databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar) and reference/journal management tools.
• CPMK3 — Students are able to produce systematic and critical literature review reports (state of the art, research gap, conceptual framework) in accordance with academic standards.

Studying the writing and publication of academic publication

• CPMK1 — Able to formulate research problems and structure scientific articles based on the IMRaD framework (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion)
• CPMK2 — Able to draft plagiarism-free academic manuscripts using appropriate citations and reference management tools
• CPMK3 — Able to conduct peer review, manuscript revisions, and simulated manuscript submission to reputable scientific journals

This course equips students with theoretical, pedagogical, and practical competencies in developing innovative, contextual, and research-based Indonesian language and literature teaching materials. The course encompasses three main stages: (1) critical analysis of the philosophical, theoretical, and curriculum policy foundations as well as evaluation of the quality of existing teaching materials (print, digital, or multimodal); (2) design and production of creative, contextual Indonesian language and literature teaching materials integrated with local wisdom, character education, and digital technology (TPACK, multiliteracies, and multimodality); and (3) validation, field testing, and scientific publication of the developed teaching materials.

• CPMK1 — Students are able to critically analyze the concepts, principles, characteristics, types, functions, and foundations of developing Indonesian language and literature teaching materials, as well as analyze teaching-material needs based on learner characteristics, curriculum, learning objectives, instructional contexts, technological developments, and 21st-century literacy demands.
• CPMK2 — Students are able to design and develop systematic, innovative, contextual, and inclusive Indonesian language and literature teaching materials based on learners’ needs and curriculum requirements by utilizing relevant approaches, models, media, digital technologies, and learning resources, while applying pedagogical, linguistic, literary, and instructional design principles.
• CPMK3 — Students are able to validate, implement, evaluate, and revise Indonesian language and literature teaching materials based on criteria of feasibility, validity, practicality, and effectiveness as well as empirical evidence, and produce and communicate teaching-material products in an academic, creative, systematic, and ethical manner.
