Bachelor Of Midwifery

This course covers the concept of the midwife as a profession, the history and philosophy of midwifery, the midwifery model of care, the study of women from various (biopsychosocial-cultural) perspectives, and the concept of critical thinking and reflective learning as a foundation for providing professional, woman-centered midwifery care.

• CPMK1 — Capable to accurately articulate the concept of midwifery as a profession, its history and philosophy, and models of midwifery practice.
• CPMK2 — Capable of analyzing theoretical concepts in women's studies from various perspectives, in accordance with their area of ​​competence.
• CPMK3 — Capable of accurately mastering the concepts of critical thinking and reflective learning in midwifery care

This is a foundational course covering the structure and organization of the human body—specifically the female reproductive system—as well as the interrelationships between organ systems relevant to pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and reproductive health, serving as a basis for the delivery of comprehensive midwifery care

The science that studies the normal functions of the human body, specifically the physiological changes occurring in women during the reproductive period, pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and breastfeeding

This course covers the fundamental concepts of microorganisms and parasites, mechanisms of infection, and infectious diseases related to reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, newborns, and children. Students are equipped with the skills to identify risk factors, implement infection prevention and control measures, and apply principles of microbiology and parasitology in providing safe, effective midwifery care focused on the safety of the mother and infant.

• CPMK1 — Able to accurately analyze microbiological studies within the context of midwifery practice.
• CPMK2 — Able to accurately analyze parasitological studies within midwifery practice.

This course covers the concepts and fundamental principles of infant care that is gentle, safe, comfortable, holistic, and centered on the needs of the infant and family. Students study infant growth and development, the fulfillment of basic needs, bonding and attachment, touch and infant massage, growth and development stimulation, and newborn care, as well as the application of gentle care in midwifery services based on evidence-based practice principles and professional ethics.

• CPMK2 — Capable of understanding Gentle Baby Spa and relaxation
• CPMK3 — Capable of understanding innovation and technology in Gentle Baby Care

Indonesian Language is a compulsory General Course (MKU) that all students must take. It is offered to strengthen students' character and is available in both odd and even semesters. The scope of the course covers the historical development of the Indonesian language, its status and functions, general spelling guidelines, word formation processes, word choice, sentences and effective sentences, paragraphs and their development patterns, scientific papers, popular scientific writing, and official letter writing.

• CPMK1 — Able to explain the history, status, functions, and varieties of the Indonesian language, including its linguistic rules (spelling, standard words, effective sentences, paragraphs), as a foundation for academic and professional communication.
• CPMK2 — Able to read critically, analyze language errors, and apply scientific writing rules (citations, references, bibliography) correctly and systematically.
• CPMK3 — Able to write and present academic works (papers, reports, proposals), and to convey ideas through scientific presentations, oral delivery, and official letter writing in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian language.

General education in religion refers to foundational courses designed to develop students' understanding of spiritual values, ethics, morals, and theological teachings from their respective faiths, while fostering religious tolerance and moderation within a pluralistic society.

• CPMK1 — Students are able to understand the concept education which includes monotheism, human nature and the pillars of the Islamic religion
• CPMK2 — Students are able to understand the concept of sustenance and the responsibility of sustenance to express it in the obligation to pay zakat
• CPMK3 — Students are able to understand science and technology so that students are wise in using technology

This course equips students with the ability to apply ethics and the midwife's code of ethics, and to identify ethical values ​​within cultural and midwifery service perspectives in accordance with professional values.

• CPMK1 — Capable of applying ethical concepts and national as well as international codes of ethics for midwives, and identifying ethical values ​​within cultural and midwifery service perspectives in accordance with professional values.
• CPMK2 — Capable of applying regulations and laws related to midwifery practice.
• CPMK3 — Capable of articulating personal, professional, moral, and ethical standards—including codes of ethics—while respecting diversity, upholding the rule of law, and adhering to professional midwifery values ​​in the conduct of midwifery practice.
