Universitas Prima Indonesia
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), established with the approval of the Minister of National Education under Decree No. 151/D/0/2005 on October 13, 2005, continues to transform and innovate. It offers extensive opportunities for prospective students from across the country and abroad, including ASEAN, to pursue higher education. Currently, 300 international students are studying at UNPRI, with the Faculty of Medicine being the most popular and well-established program.
By upholding the values of kindness and honesty, based on unity in diversity (multiethnic diversity), and implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (education, research, and community service), UNPRI, initiated by Lt. Gen. TNI (Pun) Moetojib and Dr. dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M.Kes., AIFM, ensures its position as a leading higher education institution from Medan, producing outstanding professionals and entrepreneurs at both national and international levels in line with UNPRI's vision, mission, and objectives.
Originally established as the Prima Medan Nursing Academy and Midwifery Academy in 2001, it evolved into STIKES Prima Husada Medan in 2002. It remains the only private university in Sumatra offering programs from applied bachelor's degrees to undergraduate, professional, specialist, Master's, and Doctoral levels. UNPRI has achieved numerous prestigious academic and non-academic awards at national and international levels.
The university also has an off-campus study program (PSDKU) in Pekanbaru, Riau province, featuring six top programs: Bachelor of Medicine, Professional Medical Education, Bachelor of Management, Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Information Systems, and a Master's in Public Health. Additional undergraduate, Master's, and specialist programs are being planned. Together with its sister companies under the Prima Group, UNPRI strives to contribute meaningfully to society.
