KP2MI/BP2MI Directorate General Delegation Visits UNPRI: Inspects Readiness of the Prima Migran Center to Expand Global Employment Opportunities
Facilitating Formal, Skilled, And Sustainable International Employment Pathways For Students And Graduates
Medan, September 15, 2026 — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) welcomed a strategic delegation from the Directorate General of Overseas Employment Promotion and Utilization of KP2MI/BP2MI to the UNPRI Main Campus on Tuesday (Sept 15, 2026). The high-level visit aimed to provide comprehensive insights and expand official career opportunities for students and alumni seeking employment abroad, particularly in Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and South Korea.
Held at the 10th-floor Main Meeting Room, the event was attended by KP2MI/BP2MI Directorate General Secretary Mrs. Sri Andayani, S.P., M.M.; North Sumatra BP3MI Head Kombes Pol. Budi Novijanto, S.H.; North Sumatra BP3MI Head of Administration Ir. Rudolf Hasoloan Simanjuntak; UNPRI Rector Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes.; Vice Rector I Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom.; and Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, M.K.T., M.K.M., Sp.KKLP(K)., COPC.
In her opening remarks, UNPRI Rector Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting expressed her appreciation, noting that several UNPRI students are currently completing international internships in Malaysia, China, Taiwan, and Singapore. She emphasized that the upcoming *Prima Migran Center* will soon serve as a vital hub providing official information, procedural guidance, and placement support for graduates pursuing global careers.
Mrs. Sri Andayani praised UNPRI’s readiness in establishing the center. During her presentation, she outlined various placement schemes—including G-to-G, G-to-P, and P-to-P programs—along with specific qualifications required for destination countries, such as nursing opportunities in Japan requiring a Diploma in Nursing and Japanese language certification (JLPT).
The visit concluded with a guided campus tour, allowing the KP2MI/BP2MI delegation to inspect the readiness of the Prima Migran Center room, library, and UNPRI Mall facilities. This visit serves to finalize preparations for the upcoming official launch of the **Prima Migran Center UNPRI**, which is set to function as an integrated hub for education, official placement procedures, and migrant worker protection.
