Alumni of Universitas Prima Indonesia Who Brought Gold at the 2022 Asian Games
Another brilliant achievement was achieved by Universitas Prima Indonesia alumni, Harris Horiatus, in the international arena. At the 2022 Asian Games held at the Xiaoshan Guali Sports Center, Hangzhou, China, Harris managed to bring home the gold medal in the Men's Nanquan/Nangun event on Tuesday (26/9/2023) afternoon WIB.
In the Nanquan event, the athlete born in 1995 collected 9,756 points and a total of 19,506 points. This success made the Indonesian representative beat his competitor from South Korea, Lee Yong Mun, by a narrow margin of 19,472 points, and the representative from Macau, Huang Junhua, with 19,463 points. This achievement marked the first gold medal for the Indonesian wushu team in the Asian Games. This also shows a tremendous improvement from the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, where Harris was ranked 9th out of 23 athletes.

Harris Horiatus' biography states that he was born on October 11, 1995 in Medan City, North Sumatra, and has the zodiac sign Libra (September 23 - October 22). Harris studied at the Faculty of Law, Prima Indonesia University in Medan City.
Initially, Harris only made Wushu a hobby, but then fate brought him to become a Wushu athlete. Harris was first selected as a core team in the 2006 National Championship (KerjurNas) in Semarang, where his debut in the world of Wushu was a success, winning a silver medal. In 2015, Harris made his debut as a professional Wushu athlete. He competed in the World Wushu Championships in the Nangun and NanDao events, placing third and fourth. That same year, he also participated in the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore, where he won gold and bronze medals in his debut.
Despite his impressive track record, Harris has also faced a number of significant injuries, including a hip injury in 2010 that sidelined him for two months, as well as a knee injury four years later. In 2019, just three days before the 2019 SEA Games, Harris suffered a serious injury to his left arm when he was accidentally hit by a Wushu sword during training, requiring seven stitches.
