UNPRI Holds Outbound Independent Student Briefing (PMM) Socialization Batch 3

On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Universitas Prima Indonesia held a socialization event for the Independent Student Briefing (PMM) Batch 3 at the Universitas Prima Indonesia Hall, which was attended by a number of university officials and administrators, including Vice Chancellor 1 Abdi Dharma, S.Kom, M.Kom, Vice Chancellor 3 Said Rizal, SHI, MA, Temporary Head of the Academic Study Center, Friska Ria Sitorus, S.Pd, M.Ed, P.hD, and the Student Affairs Division represented by Windania Purba, S.Kom, M.Kom. This event was also attended by 169 outbound students of the PMM 3 program.
The event began with a welcoming speech from WR 1, Abdi Dharma, who gave a message to the students selected from the UNPRI outbound program. He invited the selected students to be good ambassadors for Universitas Prima Indonesia and make their alma mater proud. WR 1 also emphasized the importance of socialization in fully supporting the MBKM program, especially PMM, and encouraging students to gather as much experience as possible throughout the islands of Indonesia. The purpose of this program is to introduce local culture and the richness of the North Sumatra region, especially the city of Medan. At the end of his speech, WR 1 UNPRI reminded students to always adapt to the customs of the place they are going to and to remain enthusiastic about running the program until it is finished.
Next, WR 3, Said Rizal gave a speech and direction along with congratulations and success to students who had passed the PMN DN (Domestic) selection. WR 3 emphasized the importance of understanding and appreciating local wisdom in every place visited, especially because students are academics who move from location to location and interact with various different cultures. In his speech, WR 3 UNPRI reminded that they should not force the situation in the place visited, but must maintain the good image of Universitas Prima Indonesia and show the best of Medan city culture.
The event then continued with a question and answer session and documentation, students had the opportunity to ask questions and share thoughts related to the PMM program. This discussion provides a space for students to gain clarification and deeper understanding of the program.
Universitas Prima Indonesia is fully committed to implementing the MBKM and PMM programs, as well as supporting students in gaining valuable experiences in learning outside the classroom.
