UNPRI Medical Student, Puteri Indonesia North Sumatra 2016
Putri Mentari Sitanggang emerged as a finalist for Puteri Indonesia North Sumatra 2016.
This student of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) managed to beat 14 other finalists on the peak night of the selection held at the Grand Aston City Hall ballroom, Medan on Monday (12/12) night. The first runner-up position was won by Sarah Desira Panjaitan, a student from the USU Faculty of Law. While the second runner-up was won by Dara Elvira, a student from the USU Faculty of Economics.
Putri, who is registered as a 7th semester student at the Faculty of Medicine, Prima Indonesia University, never thought that she would emerge as the winner. "I just surrendered to the Lord Jesus and said, Lord, I don't know who You will choose, but I am sure that God will choose the best, and it turned out that God chose me," said Putri.
Mrs. Evi Diana Erry as the patron of the Putri Indonesia Foundation of North Sumatra and also one of the five judges present asked Putri a question. "If you were chosen as Miss North Sumatra, what would you do to promote Lake Toba as an international tourist destination," asked Evi Diana Erry Nuradi.
Putri answered that there are three ways, namely finding the advantages of the Lake Toba tourist spot, then investigating the problems that plague Lake Toba tourism and then inviting the community to solve these problems together. The last is to promote through the media that is most easily accessible to the community. Because promotion is not just promotion, it must be accompanied by real action, "she replied.
Putri managed to captivate the jury with short, concise, and precise answers, making her a finalist for Miss Indonesia North Sumatra on February 17, 1995, who will represent North Sumatra in the upcoming Miss Indonesia 2017 event. Ariska Putri Pertiwi as Puteri Sumut 2015 who now holds the title of Miss Grand International 2016 was present and placed the crown of victory on Putri Mentari Sitanggang.
Meanwhile, the Governor of North Sumatra who was present at the event congratulated Putri Mentarai Sitanggang who was a finalist for Putri Indonesia 2016. "Congratulations to Putri Mentari. Promote and bring the name of North Sumatra both at the national and international levels," Erry's message.
Meanwhile, in a separate place, UNPRI Founder Dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister MKes AlFM congratulated Putri Mentari Sitanggang who emerged as a finalist for Puteri Indonesia North Sumatra 2016. Dr. I Nyoman expressed his appreciation and hope to Putri Mentari Sitanggang, so that in the future she will be able to become a qualified ambassador for North Sumatra and have a high commitment to be able to advance North Sumatra
