Unpri Lecturers Ready to Implement Tri Dharma of Higher Education

"Therefore, universities must be able to function as a place to publish a discovery or research," said the Coordinator of Ko-pertis Region I Prof. Dr. Dian Ar manto.MPd MSc when attending the graduation of Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) graduates, yesterday at the Medan International Convention Center Building, Jalan Gagak Hitam (Ring-Road) Medan. He said that this university has experienced rapid development and has lecturers who are capable and ready to conduct research and community service as required by the tri dharma of higher education.
Dian also hopes that Unpri must continue to spur and motivate its lecturers to improve their quality. Because the key to higher education is improving human resources who are disciplined, friendly, diligent and able to carry out governance management. Likewise with the quality of student activities that must write journals, the quality of research and scientific publications. "Especially for graduates, it is hoped that they can utilize and apply the knowledge they have acquired and be able to solve problems and be responsible," he said.
According to him, lecturers must always uphold the Tri Dharma of higher education, which includes education, research, and community service. "The education possessed by lecturers is a source of knowledge to conduct research and then apply it to society. Because, various researches produced both journals and books can ultimately improve the careers and welfare of lecturers," he explained.
Unpri Chancellor Prof. Dr. Djakobus Tarigan AAI DAAK stated that his party continues to make improvements and tries to improve quality, so that alumni are not less competitive with existing universities. "We continue to strive to produce graduates who are qualified and have competence according to their fields of science," said the rector.
The event was attended by the Founder of Unpri, Dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister MKes Al FM, Chairman of BPH Dr. Tommy Leonard SH Mkn and the vice rectors, deans and other academicians.
