FTIK UNPRI Innovation Seminar

Internet users in Indonesia have reached 143.26 million people out of a total population of 260 million people who can develop 5 key economic sectors internet, such as Online travel, Online media, Ride Hailing, E-Commerce and Digital Financial Services.
Unfortunately, in the development of the 5 economic sectors, the problems faced are mainly human resources (HR), facilities, markets (market), regulation and laws and capital.
This was stated by the professor of Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) Prof Dr Ir Budi Santoso ME at the National Innovation Seminar held by the Faculty of Technology and Computer Science, Prima University Indonesia (FTIK UNPRI) at the Medan Chef's Palace, Jalan T Cik Di Tiro Medan, yesterday.
Present at the event were UNPRI Chancellor Dr Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, SSiT M.Kes, UNPRI FTIK Dean Abdi Dharma SKom, UNPRI FTIK Staff Winda Nia Purba and UNPRI TTIK teaching staff.
The seminar also presented, Rector of Bina Sarana Informatika University Dr Mochammad Wahyudi MM MKom MPd and CEO of Pak Tani Digital Yosephine Natalitha Sembiring SE.
Prof Budi Santoso explained that in the industrial era 4.0 it is marked by the development of Startup Business in Indonesia .
Meanwhile, in the industrial revolution, there are 5 major challenges currently being faced in Indonesia, including weak talent, overly bureaucratic and complicated regulations, consumers who do not know what they really need, consumers who are impulsive and logistics networks. which is not reliable.
Meanwhile, CEO of Pak Tani Digital Yosephine Natalitha admitted that the digital market Indonesian agriculture is a common problem faced by approximately 26 million farmers, dominated by senior farmers aged 35 years and above (87.14% of older farmers according to BPS 2015 data).
Ironically, the younger generation no longer wants to become young farmers who will continue the nation. This means that the regeneration of farmers is around 2% per year. They are only small farmers with land area of less than 0.5 hectares.
While the farmers are 50% more and the amount of income obtained by farmers is often times are not sufficient for savings needs.
According to him, the main cause of low commodity prices is that farmers are unable to provide the best price offers for their own commodities. Low bargaining position often makes it impossible to get suppliers for the tools and agricultural materials they need.
"Minimal access to suppliers, the rise and fall of a commodity price cannot be predicted accurately, fluctuations in commodity prices, limited access to information, capital and collaboration and minimal access to transporters," he explained.
He added that the condition of digital penetration is already 50%, it is undeniable that technology and the internet are a necessity, thus creating opportunities to build agricultural startups. Therefore, the growth of various agricultural startups in Indonesia is proof that agriculture is very worthy of investment in the future.
Dean of FTIK UNPRI Abdi Dharma SKom said that digital transformation which is getting more advanced and sophisticated every day does have many benefits for the development of today's business world. However, this transformation can be a significant challenge.
"Seeing this challenge, FTIK UNPRI prepares human resources for lecturers to produce reliable FTIK graduates. "Therefore, we always hold various seminars," said Abdi answering reporters, Thursday (10/31/2019).
Meanwhile, UNPRI Chancellor Dr Chrismis Novalinda Ginting SSiT MKes expressed his appreciation to the Dean of FTIK UNPRI and all Innovation Seminar Committee, because it was considered successful and lively.
"I express my highest appreciation for the holding of the Innovation Seminar by FTIK, especially in packaging the event. I hope that through events like this, the name of FTIK UNPRI will be closer to the hearts of the people," said Crismis.
In a separate place, the Head of BPH UNPRI Dr Tommy Leonard SH MKn said that his party was proud of the activities held by FTIK UNPRI, to produce reliable graduates in their fields.
Tommy said, UNPRI must be able to produce FTIK graduates who have added value according to the needs of the job market.
"This means that UNPRI FTIK graduates have character, are competent, and innovative," said this education figure convincingly.
Moreover, said Tommy, we have now entered the digital world, so that everything can be controlled from anywhere via the internet network.
As what we know from the media, that based on other research it can be seen that Southeast Asia has extraordinary online market potential for future businesses.
Tommy hopes, me through the study of the UNPR FTIK Innovation seminar activities, both lecturers and students, received enlightenment and increased understanding, as well as quite extensive knowledge in terms of Digital Market Business.
