LPPM UNPRI Holds Socialization and Techniques for Compiling RIIM 2025 Proposals



Medan, LPPM Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) held a socialization and technique for Compiling Research and Innovation Proposals for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM), which presented resource persons Prof. Saharman Gea, PhD, which was held on the 16th Floor of the UNPRI Main Campus on Jln. Sampul No. 3 Medan, Monday (2/17/2025).

The socialization was guided by Edy Fachrial, M.Si as the moderator who is also the Chairperson of LPPM UNPRI, Prof. Prof. Saharman Gea, Ph.D explained that the quality of a university is determined by the quality of scientific publications, which come from quality research. Prof. Saharman Gea, Ph.D explained that the Research and Innovation Funding for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM) Competition is research funding from BRIN in collaboration with LPDP as the funder, which should be followed by all lecturers in supporting the reputation of lecturer research as well as the university.

In delivering the material, Prof. Saharman Gea, Ph.D invited lecturers, especially those who already have doctorates, to contribute to the RIIM scheme as chief researchers. "This RIIM scheme is very good and the grade is also high. So please UNPRI lecturers take part, especially those who already have doctors, we highly recommend participating," he said.

Head of LPPM, Edy Fachrial, M.Si when opening the event, conveyed the background and follow-up after the socialization event. Where the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) launched the RIIM Competition Program for funding in 2025.

"This program aims to encourage national research synergy by producing scientific papers and intellectual property as the main output, while supporting the development of technology from the laboratory scale to the technological readiness level (TRL) 3-6. Therefore, the Socialization and Techniques for Compiling the RIIM Competition Proposal 2025 were held, which aims to support and provide opportunities for all lecturers and researchers at Universitas Prima Indonesia to obtain the RIIM research funds. So that it can help lecturers and researchers to conduct quality research using the RIIM research funds," he said.

Some participants said that the Socialization and Techniques for Compiling Research and Innovation for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM) 2025 event attended by lecturers and researchers at Universitas Prima Indonesia, was an important moment in supporting the improvement of the quality of research and innovation in the academic environment, especially in efforts to obtain RIIM 2025 research funds for scientific development and contribution to society.

This event took place with great enthusiasm and collaborative spirit from the participants. The active participation of lecturers in discussions and question and answer sessions showed a high interest and commitment to developing innovative and applicable research. Competent speakers also provided very useful insights regarding strategies for compiling quality research proposals and available funding opportunities.

Participants hope that the results of this socialization can be a motivation for all lecturers and researchers at Universitas Prima Indonesia, to be more active in conducting research and innovation. With a deeper understanding of the mechanism for compiling the RIIM 2025 Competition proposal, as well as access to research funding, more quality scientific works will be born that have a real impact on the academic world and the wider community, and continue to establish cross-disciplinary collaboration to strengthen a more productive and competitive research ecosystem, as a good first step in improving research achievements at Universitas Prima Indonesia.
