DEVELOPING TALENTS THROUGH THE GLASS MENAGERIE MUSICAL DRAMA PERFORMANCE 2018 FKIP UNPRI
Students of the English Study Program IV A-E FKIP held The Glass Menagerie Musical Drama Performance 2018 on June 24, 2018 at the Main Building of the North Sumatra Cultural Park. This performance was also an assignment for the Drama course. The amazing collaboration between the English study program and the students of semester IV A-E produced a beautiful and memorable musical drama. This event featured a choir performing pop songs with unique versions; elegant and classical ballet dances; and of course a spectacular drama performance taken from the masterpiece of the famous American writer Tennessee Williams entitled The Glass Menagerie.
The musical drama mentored by the lecturer in charge of the Drama course, Dr. Rudy, S.S., M.A. can show that students' creativity and talents can be channeled through performances. This proves that FKIP UNPRI guides and motivates its students to develop their skills and talents. These semester IV students looked serious and enthusiastic in carrying out this musical drama event well. The enthusiasm of the audience also added to the joy of the event. Vice Dean of FKIP, Dr. Petrus Purwanto, M.Pd. in his remarks praised the students for their creativity and hoped that this experience could provide added value to improve quality.
The event ended with the presentation of class certificates by Dr. Petrus Purwanto, M.Pd. accompanied by the Head of English Study Program, Natalia Widya Pasca Tarigan, S.Pd., M. Hum. And the Secretary of the Study Program Yenita br. Sembiring, S.S., M. Hum. FKIP UNPRI strongly supports activities like this to continue to be developed in the future.
